Why should i let you in my kingdom....

was pondering over how i would respond to this question from god when its time. i'm afraid i better have more than just me believing his son was sent to save me. what am i doing to make him smile & welcome me into his kingdom? are there reasons he wouldn't smile? was just pondering this thought earlier.
