I could burst a million bubbles, all surrogate and bullet proof

What is making me tick lately? a few things...

the change of seasons: "what's your name, who's your daddy? it's the time of the season for loving." spring to summer. it is happening. temperatures in the 80s pop their heads up every so often. it is a beautiful thing to know you can lie outside under the sun with a good book, get some sun, and follow with a cool shower.

starbucks: a movement from hot white mochas to iced white mochas. everthing about this store is so inspiring to me. the music on display never fails to please. every beverage from the Fiji artesian water to the Tazo tea lemonade to the vanilla bean blended creme. their straws are even amazing. also a wonderful place to people watch.

new books: carl barat of my favorite band the libertines has released a book "bound together" of photos taken of the band during their brief stint. He also tells the stories behind the photos. I've seen some previews and sample photos and I am eager to pick this up. A book of huge andy warhol art titled Giant Size was also recently released. It is HUGE!! a hard back coffee table book of gigantic proportions. I think it is like $150.

music: where to begin... the new mates of state cd is amazing. also i was at the record store the other night and listend to an incredible drum & bass record put together by a dude who goes by the name High Contrast. My purpose in life is to go back and buy this cd. It never fails that i continually come back to Ryan Adams "Cold Roses." I haven't been able to put this album down since it was released a year and a half ago. The song I currently play over and over is "magnolia mountain". Mason Jennings- somehow this guy has managed to stay under the radar. I love his music. Check out his song "East of Eden".

new apartment: so jocelyn's med school classmate and her husband bought a town home on the picturesque daniel island. seperate from the home is a 2 car garage with an apartment above. the apartment is a cozy one bedroom, with a kitchen a den and a full bathroom. the bathroom has a huge glass shower which i am very excited about. a block away from the apartment is a river. I'm sure mowgli and i will spend a lot of time there.
