frightening obsessions

i scare myself when i get so excited about things.- no, i kid. i kid. but as of now im obsessed with a few things:

Babyshambles - the libertines have been my favorite band for the past 3 years, but will never survive without pete. i've never been so curious to learn more and try to understand an artist; pete doherty is a genius in so many ways; just tortured and troubled like every other great. just found out he attended oxford, studying lit.-

i want to go back to london so bad and dig deeper into their underground music scene.

Ryan adams- while the selftitled albumn by the libertines was my favorite albumn of 2004, Cold Roses by Ryan Adams was and is my favorite album of 2005.

the beatles- just discovered the story of pete best. pete best was the drummer for the beatles, but they got rid of him and picked up ringo just before coming to america for the ed sullivin show abd becoming the greatest rock and roll band of all time. poor guy.

live 8- if you havent gotten a chance already, check out these dvds from this summers live 8 concerts.- pink floyd reunites. paul mcartney sings "sgt. peppers lonely hearts club band" with U2.

so fred smith, the guy who started Fed Ex out of memphis has some kids. as you can guess, this family is loaded. the kids have bought out a bar in downtown memphis for new years eve. well one of sara's best friends used to date one of the smith boys and he invited her and 5 guests to party. she put sara and i on the guest list under her name so this new years should be great-

fireplace!- how exciting is it to have a fireplace in your apt?! brian and i got it goin stong last night.- everyone wanted to go out last night, but we just couldnt step away from the fire. so brian and i were romantic and ordered in and watched movies all night by the fire. mowgli loved it as much as we did.

my dvd collection is looking pretty nice these days. I think the day that something takes over dvds, i will allow myself to say five cuss words. i've been watching alot of wes anderson's films over and over as of late.

i want to be the guy who entrepreneaued Starbucks. maybe the greatest chain ever.- what a great atmosphere. it would also be fun to entrepreneau Vineyard Vines.
