"Tennessee's a brother to my sister Carolina"

Sara came to Chas. this past weekend.

Friday night. we went to Hootie's annual concert at Family Circle Cup on the beautiful Daniel Island. It was honestly a blast. We got there a little earlier and invented a parking spot near a small new buisness/shopping center where a load of a mostly middle aged crowd were tailgating. They were having so much fun in the restauraunts, bars, and outdoor lawns and i wish we could have joined in on the action earlier. Im sure a lot of these concert goers did'nt even make it to the show and didn't even mind it, i just hope they made it home. Soooo... Better than Ezra opened up for hootie. I'd seen these guys at "aquifina on the bricks" in Atl a few years back and remembered what a great time i had watching them.. Well they picked right back up where they left off. They were so great! They played all of their classic toons as well as their new single and a new song called "juicy" which will be the theme song for this coming season of "desperate housewives".
Hootie came on next and was amazing as always. They are always a great time. I have seen them about 5 times and will go out of my way to see them any time they come around in the future "has been" or not.

Saturday night. "slow night, so long" ..... sheh right- Kings of Leon at the house of blues. These guys rocked out. They had this whole aura about them.. They looked like rock stars and played like rock stars. im talkin the skinny legs, tight jeans, boots, cut off sleaves and long hair. this show lived above my expectations. i want to see them again soon. socially they were a little bit different. we (sara and i) met them after the show at the upstairs bar. i dont think they grew up having much of a social life. they were so freaked out by people and stuggled with ....... talking. no really, i cant really explain. you always read these write ups on them saying how their father ( a traveling preacher) moved them around, and all they really knew and had was music. they were not really given time to make friends and what not. just simply time to take up instruments and listen to music. that is fine by me though because they were amazing to watch in concert. we got some photos with the band which is always exciting.

If you havent already, buy ryan adams' new albumn "Cold Roses". It is what i have been listening to most as of late.

Who saw the pamala anderson roast on comedy central? i was on the floor!

Things i gots to do soon:
get cable
get tux fitting
get shirts tailored
get sara some b-day gifts
bones for mowgli

Yo man, I just found your blog randomly. The roast of Pam was quite funny--I esp. liked Sarah Silverman's. I haven't checked out the Ryan Adams album yet-- historically I'm kind of lukewarm about his stuff--but I've been listening to The New Pornographers, Clap Hands Say Yeah, Belle and Sebastian, and the new Ben Folds album (which has some really great songs on it). I hung out with your old roomie Will Cathcart last night. Anyway, holla...
